2023 ACMT Education Committee Service Award

This annual award is given to honor a member of the ACMT Education Committee who has displayed excellence in establishing and promoting ACMT's educational program and who has distinguished themself with volunteer service to the committee.

The 2023 ACMT Education Committee Service Award was awarded to Dr. Nicholas Nacca at this year’s Annual Scientific Meeting.

Dr. Nacca took over leadership of the ACMT National Grand Rounds webinar series in 2018. Over the past 5 years he has organized and hosted 29 webinars reaching over 5000 viewers, and he already has the rest of 2023 scheduled including an extra Grand Rounds in May. 

What’s special about the National Grand webinar series is that unlike the case conferences, which are very internally focused, the grand rounds series looks beyond our immediate MedTox sphere to other specialists or other countries doing work that would be of interest to our members. And this comes with some very real programmatic challenges. It is not easy getting so many speakers outside of one's network to volunteer their time, yet Dr. Nacca has managed to do so year after year.The ACMT Education Committee thanks Dr. Nacca for his service and looks forward to hopefully many more years of such high quality educational collaboration.
