ACMT Members Speak at US-Mexico Chemical Defense and Biosurveillance Seminar

On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, ACMT members Mark Kirk (Director of Chemical Defense, Office for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, U.S. Department of Homeland Security), Charles McKay, and Paul Wax delivered presentations on toxic industrial chemicals as agents of opportunity for terrorism as part of a one-day US-Mexico Biosurveillance and Chemical Defense Seminar. The presentations covered the basic principles of toxic industrial chemicals and chemical weapons, with additional content focused on toxic gases, cyanide, and fumigants.

The seminar was convened by Ambassador (Ret.) Robert Weisberg of Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) within the US Embassy in Mexico City, with the support of the Government of Mexico and the Office for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction in the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
