Thank you to everyone who attended ACMT’s activities at 2021 NACCT. On Wednesday, October 13th, lead organizer Andrea Carlson, MD moderated the Pre-Symposium: Critical Measures: Intensive Care Toxicology, which featured expert speakers presenting on the intersection of clinical toxicology practice and intensive patient care issues, encompassing the management of both pediatric and adult patients. We had 364 registrants for this fully virtual event, making it the second highest attended ACMT/NACCT Pre-Symposium.

On Saturday, October 16th, Jeffrey Suchard, MD hosted the 22nd ACMT Clinical Pathophysiology Competition (CPC), the first ever fully virtual CPC. Congratulations to Best Presenter winner Lauren Murphy, MD, and Best Discussant winner Benjamin Orozco, MD.

On Sunday, October 17th, Mark Neavyn, MD moderated the ACMT Scientific & Practice Symposium on Updates in Drug-Impaired Driving which focused on every aspect of the impaired driving problem, from impaired driving prevention initiatives to impaired driving recognition and successful litigation of impaired driving cases through testimony and laboratory confirmation.

Also on October 17th, Jeffrey Brent, MD, PhD moderated the ACMT Fellows-in-Training Roundtable on The Role of Social Media in Developing Your Medical Toxicology Career.

Also of note: this year there were 18 abstracts presented representing The Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC).
