ACMT Receives Funding from the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry for Addiction Toxicology Case Conference Webinar Series
ACMT has received funding from the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) to support and enhance the addiction toxicology case conference. The funding is part of a two-year grant from SAMHSA to AAAP (with a coalition of 27 national organizations—called the opioid response network) to provide technical assistance to states and territories.
“This funding will allow us to expand upon the existing case conference and to offer the series to a broader audience,” said Timothy Weigand, MD, FACMT the case conference moderator. Starting in September, ACMT, in collaboration with the University of Rochester, will host five webinars in the form of a case conference on novel and challenging opioid use disorder cases. The series will include one webinar each month and will be offered to addiction medicine specialists, the medical toxicology community as well as the ORN partner organizations.
