Each year, the Medical Toxicology Foundation receives and reviews applications for innovative projects that support the Foundation’s mission to advance research and education in the prevention and treatment of patients adversely impacted by drugs, chemicals, and natural toxins. The MTF board awards up to $20,000 annually for this program. 

The scope of this award is intended to be broad and creative. Proposals may be clinical or non-clinical in nature, must have relevance to the practice of medical toxicology, and can have either a research or innovative teaching focus. 

At the April meeting of the Medical Toxicology Foundation the following awards were adjudicated after the applications were presented by Dr. David Juurlink for the funding period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021
