Paul Wax, MD, FACMT, Appointed to the National Academies Committee on Toxicology

Congratulations to ACMT’s Executive Director, Dr. Paul Wax, for his appointment to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) Committee on Toxicology. From the NASEM website, the "National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine provide independent, objective advice to inform policy with evidence, spark progress and innovation, and confront challenging issues for the benefit of society.”  The Committee on Toxicology established in 1947 "provide independent, authoritative scientific advice to the U.S. military and other agencies on environmental and occupational health questions.” With this appointment, Dr. Wax hopes to bring a medical toxicology voice to the important work of the committee and is excited to have this opportunity.
